Apple just accepted the version 0.8 of RSS Runner.
I added the following features you asked me:
- Favorite items: now you can mark items as favorite in order to keep them as long as you wish. You have a new special item on the main screen that allows you to view all items that you marked as favorite.
- Now you can view the web page of a feed item in Safari (as well as in the embedded browser).
- “All unread items” menu item: now you have a special item on the main screen that allows you to directly view all unread items. You can show or hide it in the Settings screen (as well as configure the number of displayed items).
- 100 items per feed: now 100 items are kept for each feed (instead of 50).
- Some improvements on the user interface.
Let me remind you that you can find RSS Runner settings in the Settings application, which is in the home screen of your device.

comment to 0.8 :
the “favorite items” and the “unread items” aren’t sexy >>> the should be a button in the footer and not the same style as a feed …
@Joel: Thanks, I will see what I can do.
Great! Very useful update!
Hi François,
Thanks for another great update!
Is there a way to export all of your RSS feeds using OPML or some other way?
Thanks,
Eugene
@Eugene: this is a nice idea, I could provide it in a further release
François,
That would be great.. I keep recommending RssRunner to my friends who install it and then ask for my RSS feed list which I can’t share with them!
Also, why we are on the wish list…
in-app email would be great as there are lots of stories that I read on my PC but emailing them causes the app to disappear!
Also, the app lately feels really sluggish, not sure if it’s changes in the code or my ever growing RSS list (~100 feeds), it can take up to 5-10 seconds to go back to the main feed list window which makes the app hard to use.
Thanks again,
Eugene
